About Us

To support educational initiatives that will lead to long-term benefits for Western Australian school students

In 1909, the Western Australian State Parliament made a decision that would have far reaching benefits for the educational lives of Western Australian school students. That decision was to bequeath areas of land throughout the State to be used by future generations to enhance the quality of education. The Parliament created the Public Education Endowment Trust to manage the Trust’s assets and to allocate funds to provide the greatest benefit to the greatest number of students. In its 90 years the Trust has funded many thousands of innovative and successful projects. As it enters its tenth decade, the Trust continues its commitment to school education in Western Australia and to helping teachers, schools and communities make their visions a reality.
